Terms of Service

By accessing or using Deco.me ("the App", "we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all users, including free users and paying customers.

Deco.me is an AI-powered interior design platform that helps users discover their design personality, analyse rooms using uploaded photos, and receive personalised product recommendations from South African retailers. The service is provided "as is" and features may change over time.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Free users receive 1 complimentary room analysis upon sign-up. Additional analyses require the purchase of credit packs (Starter, Explorer, or Top-Up). All purchases are processed securely via PayFast. Deco.me does not store your payment card details.

Credits are non-transferable and are linked to your account only. Credits do not expire once purchased. All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Due to the digital and instantly consumable nature of AI analysis credits, all purchases are final and non-refundable once a credit has been used. If you experience a technical failure that prevents an analysis from completing, please contact us at support@decome.co.za within 7 days and we will review your case and may issue a replacement credit at our discretion.

Unused credits (where no analysis has been run) may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase — please contact us to request this.

By uploading photos to Deco.me, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process those images solely for the purpose of generating your design analysis. We do not sell, share, or use your images for any other purpose. You retain full ownership of all content you upload. You must not upload images that contain other people without their consent, or any illegal content.

Design suggestions and product recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational and inspirational purposes only. Deco.me makes no guarantee that any suggested product is currently available, accurately priced, or suited to your specific circumstances. Always verify product details directly with the relevant retailer before purchasing.

You agree not to: misuse the service, attempt to circumvent credit limits, reverse-engineer the platform, upload harmful or offensive content, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend access without notice for violations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deco.me and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding any claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of material changes via the App or by email.
